Steps from Start to End for Recovering Outlook Account Password

Outlook (Outlook.com) provides four different ways for recovering its account password. These ways include using of alternative email, phone number, app, and answering security questions. Its users can use any of these ways or the entire ways to recover their account password.

The steps for recovering Outlook account password are user-friendly. Outlook users need to login into their account and then follow few steps to recover their account password. Let us see the complete steps from start to end.

Steps from start to end for recovering Outlook account password:

Step 1: Open Outlook sign in page and then tap on “Can’t access your account?” link. A password recovery page will open.

Step 2: On this page, select “I forgot my password” option and then tap on the Next button.

Step 3: Enter your email address or phone number in “Email or phone” text field and then enter the Captcha code that you see on your screen.

Step 4: Select a method to verify your email account from these methods: Email, Use an app, Text, and I don’t have any of these.

Email: If you have provided a secondary email address for your account password recovery then you need to choose Email method and then verify your account.

Use an app: If you have Microsoft Outlook app in your mobile phone then you use it create a code to verify your identity.

Text or phone number: If you have given mobile number for your account password recovery then you can verify your account by using your mobile number.

I don’t have any of these: If the entire above methods are not working then you need to click on “I don’t have any of these” option. After that you need to answer some simple questions related to your account so that your account can be verified.
